Welcome to my website. I’m Katherine Neville. The above quotations by two of my favorite authors pretty much sum up my total life experience; they describe everything I have written to date, as well as the whole reason I am writing books.

Most of my readers--whether young or old, or from vastly different cultures-have told me they have reacted to a sense of "thereness" in my novels in a personal and immediate way. Readers often tell me they feel they are walking around inside my books, that they don't want the story to end. They say they want to know as much as possible about the elements pulled together in these books, so they can pursue specific interests further on their own, and continue the adventure.

I hope, as this website evolves, that we can explore such ideas together and share some of the joy I always feel at learning something new.

I will periodically update my biographical sketch, interview, and worldwide appearance schedule.

The Book Forum includes books that I’ve found valuable, useful or interesting for my research, with brief descriptions, and books that my fellow scientists and scholars have unearthed for me from musty libraries. Also, there will be a recommended reading list of fiction in various languages, with book descriptions by me and my fellow authors.
