The Delphic Oracle Diet

Many years ago, I discovered the world’s most ancient and best inspiration for a diet, where one would never gain or lose too much weight, and where you would always be able to eat great food that was delicious and totally healthy. This inspiration came from the two mottos that Socrates told us have been carved into the stone walls of the famous Oracle at Delphi in Greece.  (Hence, I dubbed my plan: “The Delphic Oracle Diet!”)

The two ancient mottos are:

“γνῶθι σεαυτόν” (“Know Thyself”)

 “μηδὲν ἄγαν” (“Nothing in Excess”)

Roman Mosaic "Know Thyself"
